The Process

Bill has developed a special technique for  architectural subjects to compliment the fine art approach to painting.  The scene is first drawn from the photo in pencil as in any typical painting,  but the buildings are then rendered with drafting tools to provide correct alignment and perspective. He then employs his unique painting style, using other drafting tools he has developed for paint brushes to maintain the accurate yet spontaneous approach.  The result is a unique and valuable work of art found nowhere else.  Look around!

The Artist

Bill Benton is a painter in both watercolor and oils whose work mainly  features landscape and architectural subjects. He draws on his background to combine technical qualities with artistic ones in the  production of these renderings.  He started painting seriously around 1986, but has been creating architectural portraits only since 2008.  He also creates paintings of landmarks and commercial structures in oil.  "Artwork, above all else, should be fun to create."   To look at as well.
